Asus Zenfone 2 Application – First unveiled at CES 2015, the world’s first smartphone with a 64-bit processor and 4GB of RAM, the Asus Zenfone 2 was a bit of a standout. But perhaps the most important part of the Zenfone 2 isn’t its specs, but its price: The “lightweight” version of the Zenfone 2 with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage starts at just $199. US pricing for the 4GB version will be announced on May 18 at an event in New York. Check out our review of the Asus Zenfone 2 (4GB RAM version – model ZE551ML) for more details.

The release date of Zenfone 2 is May 19, 2015. The Asus Zenfone 2 costs $199 for the 16GB/2GB RAM/720p/1.8GHz version. The “flagship” 64GB/4GB RAM/1080p/2.3GHz version is an incredibly low price of $299. For more information, see “Where to buy” at the bottom of this review.

Considering the very low price of the Zenfone 2 (at this point we know you can buy the Zenfone 2 4GB for $325-$399 for the 32GB and 64GB models on Amazon and eBay respectively, which gives you an idea of what the final price will be . price in the US), you can forgive thinking that it will be cheap. But you can’t be wrong.

Comprehensive Review Of Asus Zenfone 2

The Zenfone 2 matches up nicely with the LG G3 and HTC One (M8) in terms of looks and is still two of the best looking phones. In terms of size, it is quite close to the LG G4.

Zenfone 2 has a curved brushed aluminum plastic back that is easy to hold thanks to its slightly textured surface. The phone fits very well in the hand and, like the G3, has volume buttons on the back, camera sensor, dual LED flash and speaker grill at the bottom.

The power button is located in the middle, which is admittedly a bit inconvenient, as in the HTC One M8. While everything looks great, the plastic squeaks a bit and the battery cannot be removed despite having a removable back panel.

On the front there are unfortunate capacitive buttons that are not backlit, which makes them difficult to see in certain situations (e.g. at night). These buttons are housed in a black bar underneath an otherwise beautiful and large 5.5-inch display like the HTC One M8.

The side bezels are a bit thicker, but the Zenfone 2 has an impressive 72% screen-to-body ratio. The build quality of the Zenfone 2 is really impressive considering its price and it comes in black, gold, grey, red and white colors.

Zenfone 2 has a beautiful, bright 5.5-inch Full HD IPS LCD display with 403 pixels per inch. The anti-fingerprint coating on Corning Gorilla Glass 3 reduces friction by 30% for a super-smooth touch screen and of course reduces fingerprints as well.

The screen can reach a brightness of up to 400 nits and looks great with good contrast, saturation and very impressive viewing angles. The screen is actually one of the ZenFone 2’s greatest assets. Of course, it’s “only” Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels), but it’s still pretty good.

On the other hand, the screen has a lot of reflections and glare from the anti-fingerprint coating. This fact, together with the glare, makes it extremely difficult to see outside on a bright day. The earpiece above the screen is also a dust magnet and will soon be filled with dust and dirt.

The Zenfone 2 is no slouch in the software department either, it runs on Android 5.0 with a completely redesigned ZenUI that is fully customizable from the ground up for an original look and feel without the need for additional tools or customization apps.

The interface may not be to everyone’s taste (I’m looking at you, icons), but the quick settings menu and notification shade is a mix of standard Lollipop and the new TouchWiz, but with a brighter color palette.

With the initial setup, you have Lollipop’s Tap & Go feature for transferring content from your old phone to the Zenfone 2, but you also have Asus Data Transfer, which basically does the same thing. It can be a little confusing, but two options are better than none.

You can also get 100 GB of free Google Drive cloud storage when you first sign up. However, I’m not sure what to think about the pre-installed Trend Micro solution.

Asus Zenfone 2 Laser Review + Specs + Price

One of the best features of the Zenfone 2 software is the impressive Pixel Master technology in the camera: it offers up to 400% more brightness in low light conditions. I first became acquainted with this feature at CES by taking a photo of a butterfly in a completely black box, and actually saw it where even the Galaxy Note 4 struggled to do anything (to be fair, the Note 4). However, the low light setting was not active).

As usual, you can access your notifications by swiping down from the home screen. However, if you swipe up, you’ll see the “Manage homepage” menu. It has automatic grouping of applications into folders, quick access to settings, icon packs, wallpapers, home screens, themes, etc. It is a kind of additional command panel that you have access to.

ZenMotion settings also has other great software features: tap gesture and gesture gesture. Motion Gesture is a simple feature with a “Skeke to Screenshot” reminder feature. Touch gesture is more convenient and has some classic features like double tap to wake, app launch gestures (draw a letter on the screen to quickly launch a pre-selected app) and double tap to sleep.

There are also plenty of Asus apps for things you already have other preferences for: notifications, gallery, note taking, file manager, and email, but there are also a few like Reminders and the Do It Later weather app. Which are really good.

AudioWizard is also great: it allows you to quickly switch between different sound modes, such as movie mode, speech, game, and more. Also FM radio (at least the European version has).

The specifications of Zenfone 2, the world’s first smartphone equipped with 4 GB of RAM and a 64-bit chip (2.3 GHz quad-core Intel Atom), are impressive on paper. In practice, the presence of this hardware package ensures that all but the most demanding processes can be performed in a short time, although the processor is no longer as powerful as many other high-end chips. That said, multitasking is a breeze, and the overall response is very fast and smooth.

The addition of Android 5.0 Lollipop adds to the experience and all I can say is that I am impressed and can confirm that it is very difficult to slow down this phone no matter what you do. Even serious high-definition gaming sessions (with five 3D games simultaneously) and endless application switching are easy tasks for Zenfone 2. If you’ve always worried about slowing down when stressed in the past, Zenfone 2 will make you happy.

Asus Zenfone 2 Ze551ml Red Colour 4gb Ram Review

The Zenfone 2 has plenty of hardware options: two versions with 2GB of RAM and a quad-core Atom chipset clocked at 1.8GHz, one with a 1080p display, the other with a 720p display, and a large one (which we reviewed here): 4GB RAM, 1080p screen and 2.3 GHz processor.

There are storage options of 16, 32 and 64 GB with microSD expansion. You even get 5GB of lifetime internet storage with the Asus and 100GB of Google Drive storage we mentioned earlier. Zenfone 2 is a cat. 4 LTE devices with a data transmission speed of 150 Mb/s.

We compared the Zenfone 2 to see if these numbers matched our actual experience. In AnTuTu, the Zenfone 2 scored just over 47,000 (compared to the Galaxy S6’s peak of 67,000) – somewhat surprising given how well it multitasks, but not so surprising given the relative weakness of the Intel chip.
