Overall, the design of this app is good and easy to use. However, there are some pretty bad designs in the app. First, there is no description or explanatory word below the icon on either side of the photo capture button (Figure 2). I cannot intuitively understand the function of the two images. Actually, the icon on the left allows me to add stickers or cartoon images to the photos, and the icon on the right allows me to change the filters. This drawing is a bad sign, that it cannot give me clear instructions or tell me what work I can do after pressing the icon. To deploy it, the designer just needs to place the names of the functions under the icons, for example “Stickers” under the left side and “Filters” under the right side (Figure 3). Second, the film image is poorly designed (Figure 4). In our conceptual model, the general meaning of a movie icon means that users can record a video by tapping on it. However, clicking the movie icon in this app will take a photo and add the movie filter to the photo instead of making a movie. Additionally, the studio industry is small. It only lets me change six filters. To enhance the action and better connect the action to their product, the designer can move the studio action as a secondary option under the shooting action, which allows me to add filters to the photos and the photos like the frames of the film too. Third, the icon in the upper right corner is a bad sign. It seems that after I tap the icon, the app will try to update or sync data (Figure 5). But the function of the image is of course to move between the front and rear cameras. To improve this, the designer can embed the original image in a camera image to make the action more recognizable (Figure 6).
