Cosmic Covid Application – Previously unknown pathogens and antimicrobial resistance are on the rise. COVID-19 exemplified the need for rapid understanding and treatment design against new pathogens.

The lung is the only internal organ in direct contact with the environment, so it is particularly susceptible to pathogens. This, along with the rise of new pathogens and antimicrobial resistance, has made lower respiratory infections the leading cause of death worldwide.

However, the probability of a new lung therapy reaching the market is only 3%, compared to 6-14% for other diseases. This very high rate of loss may be partially explained by the lack of reliable and predictable preclinical models that capture the complexity of the human lung.

Researchers Use Cern Technology To Evaluate Risk Of Covid 19 Transmission

Our two-perfused multicellular lung model (alveolar and bronchial airways) maps the unique physiology of the human lung and allows the mechanism of SARS-CoV-2 infection to be studied for drug screening and drug response. Host-pathogen interactions and immune response.

Our models differentiate alveolar and bronchial cells into physiologically relevant phenotypes, allowing for higher tissue organization and differentiation of major cell types found in the human lung.

COVID-19 testing provides an opportunity to examine upper and lower respiratory tract infections. Co-culture of multiple immune cell populations and epithelial and endothelial cells accurately reflects the viral life cycle and host response, including reprogramming of immune cells.

Inflammatory responses in alveolar lung-on-chip models after SARS-CoV-2 spike protein pseudotype lentivirus infection show physiological relevance.

Singapore, October 1, 2021… The Monetary Authority of Singapore () today announced the launch of a digital platform. Regulatory framework for Financial Institutions (FIs) to share information about customers and activities with each other to prevent Money Laundering (AML), Financing of Terrorism (TF) and Financing of Spread (PF).

PF means the distribution, promotion or provision of finance, funds, assets or other financial resources to individuals or legal entities, including distribution vehicles or related materials, to support the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.

2 A common problem FCs face in most jurisdictions is their inability to alert each other to unusual activity on their client accounts. Financial criminals often use these loopholes to carry out illegal transactions through networks of assets with accounts in different FIs, so each FI alone lacks the information needed to detect these transactions in a timely manner.

3 A new digital platform called COSMIC for “collaborative sharing of ML/TF information and status” allows FIs to securely share information about customers and transactions that exceed a significant risk threshold. Such information sharing will help Financial Intermediaries detect and disrupt illegal networks, thereby protecting Singapore’s financial hub.

The 4 COSMIC platforms are co-founded by Singapore’s six largest commercial banks, DBS, OCBC, UOB, SCB, Citibank and HSBC. It will have strong security features and control to prevent unauthorized access to information. The law stipulates that this transfer of information by FC is only allowed to combat ML, TF and PF. and requires all COSMIC participants to take robust measures to protect their COSMIC information from unauthorized use and disclosure. FCs that meet these requirements are tracked and any failed FCs are dealt with.

5 While several other countries have introduced data sharing functions between FIs, the COSMIC platform will be the first centralized platform to share data in a structured format that allows seamless integration with data analytics tools. This helps FIs collaborate more productively and at scale. COSMIC’s regulatory framework is unique in determining the types of information that should be shared and the conditions under which information sharing is permitted or required. COSMIC information is used in risk monitoring to detect illegal networks operating in the financial system and target these activities for timely audit response.

6 plans to launch the COSMIC platform in the first half of 2023. COSMIC will initially focus on the three main financial crime risks in commercial banking, namely corporate fraud, trade finance abuse and PF. Six banks involved in the development of COSMIC, the leading players in commercial banking, will join COSMIC at this early stage and allow information sharing. Cosmic plans to eventually expand the scope to more FIs and focus areas and mandate some aspects of sharing.

On October 7, Ms. Lu Siew Ye, Executive Vice President (Policy, Payments and Financial Crimes), said, “COSMIC will greatly improve the ability of our financial institutions to detect and prevent suspicious activity, while reducing contact with legitimate actors. The data sharing framework will achieve serious goals.” . • FC will help detect and clean up bad actors faster. Criminal behavior designed to catch and activate FIs strengthens Singapore’s position as a trusted financial center and place of business where FIs can better serve the majority of legitimate customers .

By 1 November 2021, stakeholders are invited to submit their comments on the proposals and legislative changes outlined in the consultation document linked here. The first cases of covid-19 were reported in Malaysia in January 2020, and the trend of covid-19 cases has increased significantly. As the world changes its normal services and norms through digitization, many countries have used digitized information technologies to manage COVID-19. This is especially true when investigating relationships between Malaysian citizens. Malaysia was one of the first countries in Southeast Asia to develop digital applications to monitor and manage the COVID-19 outbreak, and Malaysia was among the top 50 countries in the UN’s 2020 eGovernment Development Index (EGDI). This study aims to explore the effectiveness of digitalization in controlling the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak in Malaysia from 11 March to 9 June 2020 (90 days), with a special focus on contact tracing. This study concluded that digital practices and government administrative orders recommended by the National Health Policy through Movement Control Orders (MCOs) and Conditional Movement Control Orders (CMCOs) have slowed the rate of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Similar efforts by Malaysia’s neighboring countries have used existing technological advances to combat the epidemic alongside health efforts.

Global data on the spread of COVID-19 show that the rate of infection has not yet reached its limit. Thus, the lives of eight billion people are at risk. According to the 143 status reports of the World Health Organization (WHO), as of 11 June 2020, there were 7,273,958 infections and 413,372 deaths in 212 countries and territories worldwide [1]. In December 2019, COVID-19 emerged in Wuhan, the capital city of Hubei province of the People’s Republic of China, where patients experienced undiagnosed pneumonia with fever, fatigue, cough, and difficulty breathing [2]. Doctors and scientists soon realized that it was a new airborne virus. On January 31, 2020,
