So how do we do it? What I share below is what I’ve learned as a blogger and social media marketing expert for over a decade. Although it’s called “Poor Traveler”, we often receive offers for free nights in luxury hotels and guesthouses, but most of the time we are unable to accept the offer because it doesn’t fit our blog.
There are many options offering different plans at different prices. We don’t have any proof because we haven’t tried the big ones, so we can’t compare. But the process is the same.
There are many other blogging platforms, but I highly recommend WordPress. I have been blogging since 2005 and have tried other platforms but WordPress is the best.

The “theme” is how your blog looks to your readers. Some programs and other features will appear. Some require additional plugins. You can purchase a “Premium” theme or create a custom design.
