Kos Search Application

Kos Search Application – Disclaimer: This case study was researched in March when Mamikos did not make any changes or update their version in May. πŸ‘ˆ

Hello everyone, meet me again Hudzi, here I am writing about a completed UI/UX case study. So after researching, analyzing competitors, getting data and clarifying existing problems, creating user personas and customer journey maps, looking for ideas to solve those problems, I created wireframes and information architecture, mockups and finally usability. . Test prepared designs. So yes, I’m designing end-to-end UI/UX and I’m playing the role of UX researcher, UX designer and UI designer in the case study here.

I hope that the case study I made will be useful to those who have free time and accidentally read this article. So what are you waiting for, let’s talk about it.

Greek Sailing Itinerary From Kos To Patmos

Overview At the beginning of this article, I explain how I did this case study using a framework commonly known as design thinking, with which everyone is probably familiar.

The case study in this article is the Mamikos application, so generally I will first briefly talk or explain what Mamikos is for readers who may not know. Mamiko is a

(boarding house) search app in Indonesia. Mamikos uses technology to manage and present a list of kos, complete with detailed descriptions of the facilities, as well as photos and details.

When I wanted to discuss Mamiko as my case study, I faced challenges. The Mamikos app already has a beautiful interface design. This app also has a lot of almost complete features, especially for filters. But I think there is still room for improvement.πŸ™

Research In this phase, I play the role of a UX researcher who tries to empathize with Mamikos users using various research methods.🀌

Context The study was conducted based on the discovery of improvements to the pension/course search features of the existing Mamikos mobile applications to improve the user experience.

I checked the Mamikos app and noticed that their filter function is really complete, but they still don’t have a distance estimation filter. Based on this observation, I tried to formulate a hypothesis to improve the Mamikos filter function.

With the aim of understanding user behavior while using the app and improving some features, especially filter features.

Kos Holidays 2023/2024

I researched feedback and comments about Mamikos, but most of them complained about marketing issues, not user experience. So I immediately conducted in-depth interviews with Mamikos users and analyzed competitors in this study.

In this research process, I used several tools to support my activities, such as worksheets to create a research plan, discussion guides, and reviewing interview results, then I used Zoom and WhatsApp to survey users.

It is not easy to find a competitor to match Mamikos as they do not have the same direct competitors (in terms of app users, course providers and course seekers). Here I am trying to do a competitive analysis with Rukita, an app platform similar to Mamikos that provides a platform for Kosi seekers. The most notable difference is that Rukita targets a more premium user segment (middle and upper class) with limited access.

In researching this Mamikos case study, I used a qualitative method by conducting in-depth interviews with Mamikos users. Here I am asking some open-ended questions for respondents – who are Mamikos users – to answer about their experiences with Mamikos.

Individual Support Of The Client

After receiving respondents who met the criteria, I conducted in-depth interviews with 6 users via WhatsApp and Zoom calls.

I then identified some key areas of information based on this Mamikos user interview, including:

In the reporting and analysis phase, I still play the role of UX researcher, but I don’t try to empathize with Mamikos users, now I take the data collected in the interviews and try to define the problem from them.🀏 Summary

Kos Search Application

After conducting the interviews, I divided the interview data into an affinity diagram that separated several criteria such as their preferences, difficulties, needs, expectations, and mamiko structure.

Outlook For Ios Adds New Search Features And Filters, Simplified Navigation Bar & Other Perks

Most of the respondents use Mamikos for their needs to find the waist belt they want according to their criteria and wishes. There are people who really use Mamikos to find the courses they need to pay for Mamikos, but there are also people who only use Mamikos as a tool to find the courses they want.

Many respondents said they are not satisfied with the existing features, especially when they want to find Kos around them. They feel that there is a lack of accuracy when searching in their surroundings or in their designated locations.

3. Users feel that the screen is not clear when they use the filter function when searching for Kosi

When they want to search for kos around them or in a selected location, users will not be able to find the kos closest to them in the previously selected location. Although the Mamikos boarding list has a map view, respondents seem to be more comfortable using the list view than the map view.

Google Images, Stock Photos & Vectors

Some users feel that since there are so many filters, the user has to scroll down a lot. They thought it would be better to make it a little shorter or more concise. User personas and customer journey map

After receiving input from the respondents, I tried to create a user persona and customer journey map based on the information gathered. This is a user persona that I created to represent user segmentation based on the data I received. A user persona is a fictional character that represents the product’s target user. User personas help us focus on identifying and solving problems that users experience.

And this is the customer journey map, with which I have tried to describe the conditions, situations, constraints, pain points and opportunities that Mamikos can do.

In the ideas and solutions phase, I work as a UX designer, where I try to gather ideas and create solutions to existing problems. In this phase, I also create the action plan, user flow and information architecture.

Knowledge Organization Systems: When To Scale Up

After collecting data from respondents and creating personas and customer journey maps, we can now decide which ideas can overcome/solve existing problems.

I then created a priority matrix chart to determine what needed to be done now and what could be done later.

A user flow is used to describe the steps a user takes to complete a task using a product. There are two user flows, the leased user flow and the

Information architecture is a methodology used to document all the flow, content, and design requirements of an application or website.

Must Do’s To Experience Kos At Its Best

In the design and prototyping phase, I play the role of a user interface designer, where I try to structure the existing ideas that are integrated into the action plan. At this stage I will also make a high-precision mock-up, obviously following Mamikos instructions, and try to make a prototype for testing purposes. Fidelity Wireframe

Before making a mockup, I wireframe it first to get a basic idea of the design I’m working on. Here is Mamikos redraw wireframe to improve resource filtering. Here I made the whole process wire flow when user wants to search for nearest

From the chosen field. So I also made the filter a floating action button, which is different from the filter in the Mamikos app. Other than that, I found it to be a little simpler and more comprehensive on the filter page, which already makes it a little different from Mamikos.

Many ideas are implemented in design and ready for prototyping to be tested directly on users.

Can’t Join Servers With Some Mods And Some Mods Don’t Work For Me

This design was originally intended to address user concerns about Mamikos’ landing page being too complex before Mamikos changed their landing page. But here I am trying to recreate their modified design by creating a shortcut button. On the landing page, I created a new button to search as a shortcut

Around the user if the user allows the app to read GPS. This skips a step if the user wants to search for nearby kos instead of going to the search page.

At this point, the user can search for guesthouses using the closest distance filter to the selected location. The following image is an example of when a user searches

Around the University of Indonesia and then the user wants to sort
