Latest Delta Bbm Application – In sedimentary basins, the occurrence and distribution of groundwater is limited and limited to hard sand beds/zones. This study was conducted with the aim of demonstrating the method of direct electrical noise analysis during groundwater analysis at the University of Benin near the VC lodge. Six VES points were surveyed using an ABEM SAS 300C thermometer, which was used to generate field data using a Schlumberger Array with an AB/2 of 1.5 m and 215 m. Responses were generated using IPI2WIN software. The result shows the average of the four geoelectric fields in the VES area. Surface layer, hard crust, clay layer, alluvial layer, sand layer and variable sand layer. In VES 1-6, the maximum water table is 11.6 m. They are 16.6m, 22.5m, 30.5m, 51.4m, 27.8m, respectively, and the depth of the underwater table is 124.4m, 124.6m, 78.4m, 55.2m, 38.5m, and 29.4m, respectively, The results showed that VES 1 & 5 measure the highest water prospect due to the size of the water table, the depth of the water table and most importantly the weathering/fractured layer with a high resistance of 15, 188 Ω and 76. For VES 1 and 5, it increases the penetration and retention of groundwater to 432Ω respectively. VES 2, 3, 4 and 6 are also reservoirs, but their depth is shallow and their depth in the water table affects the purity of the water. However, further investigation is needed to confirm the suitability of the water as portable drinking water by analyzing the physicochemical and hydrogeological characteristics of the existing boreholes dug near the study area. The results of this study remind us of the nature of geophysical investigations before drilling and the suitability of electrical resistivity as a tool for defining subsurface areas.
