The two Wandsworth organizations are teaming up to offer an exciting mentoring opportunity on the World Heartbeat Music Entrepreneurship Program for 16-25 year olds looking for the next steps in the creative industries.
Over the summer, Domino will host presentations and question-and-answer sessions covering key areas and departments involved in music publishing, including A&R, product management, promotion, marketing, digital, publishing and sales. After the first group session, 1-on-1 sessions will be available, with Domino coaches leading each session.

The World Heartbeat Music Academy is a dynamic organization that accelerates social change and transforms young people’s lives through music. Our mission is to make ‘the art of what happens’ in life, engage more young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and be able to go on to a successful and sustainable career over time. World Heartbeat Music Academy provides quality music education and personal development opportunities for children and young people from low income and disadvantaged backgrounds living in and around Wandsworth.
Each week, 370 students aged 5-25 participate in a rich program from foundation to early career, learning and performing music from a variety of musical genres that reflect the heritage of our diverse community. It includes jazz, Asian, Brazilian, Celtic, Eastern European, Gypsy, Latin music and Reggae. We engage with thousands of people each year through workshops with schools and community groups as well as concerts at local festivals and major music venues.
We make music accessible to everyone regardless of their circumstances – 50% of our students receive a full or partial scholarship to our school and free instruments. In 2018, we were awarded National Portfolio Organization (NPO) status by Arts Council England in recognition of the quality of our work and our contribution to their creative mission of diversity and equality.
