This hand-built pre-assembled model is an approximate 1/72nd scale replica of the United Launch Alliance (ULA) NASA and USAF GPS workhorse rocket. It is based on the Delta II-7925 GPSIIR configuration using 6 ground start and 3 air start SRMs and a 2.9 meter fairing. Delta II's have been in service since February 1989 and launched from both Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida and Vandenberg Air Force Base, California. The Delta II is still being used by NASA and will launch at least 3 more times out of Vandenberg AFB before the program closes down.

The detail parts on this model are made with a professional grade 3D printer. The parts are made from ABS plastic which is lightweight but very strong.
