Facebook user Avi Jintora uploaded a video of two delivery men delivering a package to his home on June 4.

This was posted on the Facebook Complaint Singapore group where he wrote that he had not received the package despite the Shopee app stating otherwise.

CCTV footage showed two delivery drivers arriving at Avi’s home to deliver the package.
One of them was wearing a black T-shirt, carrying a package with one hand and calling with the other.
However, the package was not placed in the shoe box, but placed back on the trolley in a red bag.
Screenshots uploaded to the same post showed Avi chatting with a Shopee agent who told him it was fulfilled by J&T Express, but netizens in the comments section pointed out that it could have been fulfilled by Shopee Express instead.

Three hours after he posted the video, a woman in a black T-shirt returned with a package.
He apologized to Avi and said he was an assistant and it was his first time delivering a package and he had left it in a shoebox.
“(He said) he hesitated… but I told him, if you [feel through it], you can always come back tomorrow or next time, and if he doesn’t perform at all, you’re still fine,” Avi said.
Avi added that he had told her it was “unfair and unacceptable” that he had marked the item as undelivered and apologized for it.

“I still don’t understand why he can access the [shoe cabinet] and the package in his hand, but [he] doesn’t update [the status of the package] as delivered and doesn’t go to delivery,” Avi said.
Avi confirmed that his goods were received safely and has since canceled the refund request on the Shopee app.
When asked, a J&T Express representative confirmed that these delivery drivers are not related to them and that Shopee is currently in contact with the customer to resolve the issue.
A spokesperson for Shopee confirmed that they have contacted the user and confirmed that he received his order correctly.

“The deliverers made the delivery after verifying that the package was delivered to the correct address,” the spokesperson said.
The spokesperson added that the repackaged package was “not the package intended for the user in question”.
The carrier, claiming to be a Shopee supporter, set the status of Awie’s package to “delivered” because he was unfamiliar with the platform and could not reverse it.
According to Shopee, the courier then returns to Avi’s office to apologize. Avi was pleased with the apology and apologized for the mess.
