MyTix also gives you the option to order food and drinks at the same time as purchasing your ticket. Students and employees often face difficulties when purchasing movie tickets through traditional methods. Long lines at ticket counters are time-consuming and inconvenient, especially for people on tight schedules. They may find it bothersome to wait in long lines or worry that tickets will be sold out if they don’t buy them soon. These frustrations can reduce the fun of buying a ticket and reduce the desire to see a movie at the theater.
MyTix is a solution to this problem by providing a more efficient and practical movie ticket booking application. MyTix allows users to book movie tickets anytime, anywhere using their mobile phones.

For this project, he worked as a UX designer, designing the MyTix app from concept to delivery.
As his UX designer on this project, I conducted interviews, paper and digital wiring, low- and high-fidelity prototyping, conducted usability studies, reported on accessibility, and iterated on the design.
We conducted interviews and created personas to understand the users we were designing for and their needs. The main user groups identified in this study were students and employees who don’t have time to buy movie tickets.
The study also shows that time is not the only thing stopping people from buying movie tickets. Another problem for users is that they want to avoid waiting in too long a line and running out of tickets when booking directly at the theater.

We then created a user journey map to understand the user experience when booking tickets directly at a movie theater. Widya’s user journey mapping revealed pain points in purchasing tickets directly from theaters and opportunities for improvements that could later be applied to the program.
